The Resonance Consultancy ranks global cities of one million or more people by combining quantitative performance data with qualitative assessments from residents and visitors in 24 areas divided into six major categories: place, product, programming, prosperity, people, and promotion.
Dubai came out on top when weather, safety, landmarks, and outdoor activities were considered.
Dubai is praised for its enticing mix of extravagant experiences, Arab heritage, and luxury shopping.
According to the report, Dubai is a city of superlatives: you can ride the elevator to the top of the world’s tallest building for a bird’s-eye view, and you can bet on the ponies at the world’s richest horse race.
The report highlights the world’s deepest pool, Dubai Mall, the Burj Khalifa, the Museum of the Future, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, Dubai Creek, The Palm, Ain Dubai, City land Mall, and the Aura Sky pool — the first and tallest 360-degree infinity pool.
